Travels

Quarter Century

January 10, 2013

Considering we spent most of 2012’s celebrations at Carmel Valley Ranch, why not keep a good thing going and kick of 2013 there!?  My whole family made the trek for my 25th birthday (ek! 25!) and spent the weekend sipping champagne, hot tubbing and enjoying the fabulous food Carmel has to offer.

If you ever are in the area we discovered a few more good finds:

Flying Fish Grill: A hidden gem – Asian fusion.  I had the Clay Pot (their specialty)  but recommend the California Tower and Tuna Tartare as well… with a 4.5 star rating on Yelp (and over 200 reviews) what isn’t to love?!

Cafe Rustica: We were trying to find parking for our favorite spot in Carmel – Corkscrew Cafe, when we stumbled into this gem.  It had a very quaint, french bistro feel and had INSANE salads.  A must hit lunch spot.

Cheers to the next 3/4 of a century!
