Jeremy and I always ask for bartenders to hold sweet and sour mixes when making our cocktails, but when my sister came home and showed me how to make this homemade version, I’ve had a change of heart!
Step 1. Pour 1 cup of sugar into a mason jar.
Step 2. Add 1 cup of boiling water to sugar.
Step 3. Swirl jar until sugar has fully dissolved.
Step 4. Prepare 2/3 cup lime juice and 2/3 cup lemon juice with a juicer.
Step 5. Combine simple syrup and juices together. Voila! You have the perfect addition to any summer cocktail (great in margaritas or anything that needs a sweet and tart element).
