I was visiting CVR, when one of our favorite bartenders – Carlos, suggested I whip up this little number for the blog… enjoy!

Garden Party Cocktail

  • 6 Sprigs Basil
  • 1/2 Lime Juice
  • 2 1/2 oz Gin
  • 1/2 oz Elderflower Liqueur
  1. Muddle basil for 30 seconds (don’t be afraid to put in some elbow grease!)
  2. Add lime juice and muddle a little more.
  3. Add ice,  gin and liqueur to shaker and shake until outside of shaker is frosty.
  4. Double strain with a fine mesh sieve into a glass and enjoy!

Note: As many of my cocktails go… this is meant to be served up (in a martini glass), but for an extra refreshing spin, serve on the rocks and top (generously) with club soda (as pictured).

I whipped up this little number with some leftover grapefruits from my Farm Fresh to You box (use code WHIT1117 for $10 off!) and was pleasantly surprised by the positive feedback! This turned into the drink of choice for Memorial Day Weekend… we highly recommend it for your next pool day!

“See Ya Later” Grapefruit Cocktail

  • Juice of 2 Grapefruits
  • Juice of 2 Limes
  • 2 cups Vodka
  • 1/2 cup Elderflower Liqueur (St. Germain)
  • Club Soda (optional)

This recipe doesn’t get any easier… Simply mix all of the above ingredients (except the club soda) and serve over ice.  Top with club soda if you don’t like your drinks as strong… but be careful… this one sneaks up on you!

Considering one of my most popular posts is my Cucumber Mint Vodka Cocktail, I figured hitting up the bartender for his secret recipe was a necessity… here you go!
