Interested in having a dinner party? Here is a great Mexican inspired menu to try out:
Blood Orange Margaritas
Shredded Beef Salad (inspired by my favorite salad at Javier’s in Laguna Beach)
Sweet Potato Tostadas with Chipotle Lime Sour Cream
Mexican Tomato Salad

All it takes is a little morning prep and the rest can be put together about an hour or so before dinner time. Ole!
I love pizza… and that love doesn’t matter the time of day. Although I’m prone to eating cold leftover pizza, I wanted to try this breakfast pizza, and boy am I happy I did!
Instead of making my own dough, I cheated and bought some pre-made dough at Whole Foods (Trader Joe’s has it too). I also found that letting it sit out for 1-2 hours is ideal, it’s so much easier to manipulate!
I also subbed bacon for this maple breakfast sausage that is made in-house at Whole Foods – IT IS LIFE CHANGING. Also, make sure not too break the yolk like I accidently did in my first batch…runnier is so much better!

I’m on a baking binge as of late and these cookies HIT THE SPOT. The key is to not over-stir them, and if you follow the directions you are sure to have perfection on your hands… or in the words of my husband – “babe, these are some bad ass cookies”.

Since we’ve moved into our new home together I’ve wanted to host a real party… nothing fancy, just something that required thought and planning. Brunch is one of my favorite meals, and with Spring approaching what better time to get some of my favorites together for a tasty meal?

Because our house is pretty tiny inside we decided to use our backyard as an entertaining space… considering our outdoor table is the size of our whole living room, we felt this may be a better move.

I found these vases at TJ Maxx for $10… I wanted to fill them with some gorgeous white roses, but settled for some lilac and cream carpet roses instead.

I downloaded some fonts on DaFont.com and printed simple menus on craft paper.

I put together a little makeshift mimosa/screwdriver bar area, with an old TV stand (not glamorous but it did the trick).
