Sumac Mint Fizz
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 3 tablespoons sumac
- 2 limes, halved/thinly sliced
- 1/2 cup packed fresh mint leaves
- 48 ounces club soda/seltzer
- Bring sugar and 3/4 cup water to a boil in a small saucepan, stirring until sugar is dissolved.
- Stir in sumac.
- Remove from heat and let cool completely.
- Strain mixture (unless you were too lazy like me).
- Refrigerate, covered for at least an hour and up to 1 week.
- When you are ready to make the cocktail, muddle limes and mint in a pitcher.
- Stir in sumac syrup.
- Add ice and top with seltzer.
- If you want to make an adult version of this drink, add 1-2 oz of white rum or vodka to your ice filled glass and top with sumac syrup/seltzer mixture.
